The Heirloom · Permanence is rare.

Stop storing things that disappear.

This is what The Heirloom ($89) is for. It is the one edition sealed permanently onto Bitcoin; the Unsent, Echo, and Capsule are hosted by Amor Seal.

Email accounts

Closed when you stop logging in. Deleted when companies fold.

Cloud services

Shut down on a corporate timetable that has nothing to do with you.

Hard drives

Mechanical things fail. Files corrupt. Backups go missing.

Paper

Burns. Floods. Yellows. Gets thrown away by people who didn't know.

Social platforms

Change rules. Change owners. Change what your words are allowed to say.

Bitcoin · The Heirloom

Decentralized. Replicated across thousands of nodes. Practically permanent.

How it works

From your private words to the moment they open.

Every step happens in the right place. Your words stay private in your browser. Only the sealed version ever travels onward. For The Heirloom, one more step carries the letter onto Bitcoin so it survives without us.

i.

Write

You compose your letter in your browser. The words never leave your device in readable form.

ii.

Seal

Your browser seals the letter before payment. We only ever see the sealed version.

iii.

Pay

Stripe handles payment. We never touch your card details.

iv.

Deliver or hold

A shared link for The Echo. A scheduled email with a countdown for The Capsule and The Heirloom.

v.

Open

The recipient reads the letter in their browser, with a key that came from the link or the opening phrase. We never see the words.

vi.

Anchor Heirloom only

The sealed letter is written permanently onto Bitcoin, where it cannot be edited, removed, or lost.

vii.

Recover Heirloom only

If Amor Seal someday disappears, the letter can still be recovered using the recovery tool, the Bitcoin record, and the opening phrase. No Amor Seal needed.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Your words stay private by design.

  • Sealed in your browser, before anything reaches us.
  • We only ever see the sealed version, never the words.
  • The key lives in the link to your recipient, or in your opening phrase, never on our servers.
  • No account. No tracking. No subscription.
  • For The Heirloom: a recovery tool that works without us.

Without the key, this is meaningless to anyone who finds it.

Questions

Things people often ask.

No. Your letter is sealed in your browser before anything reaches us. We only ever see the sealed version. The key to open it lives either in the link to your recipient, or in your opening phrase for The Heirloom, never on our servers.

The opening phrase is twelve words. If you lose them and the recipient also loses their reveal link, the letter cannot be recovered. We cannot rescue you, because the privacy that protects you is what prevents us from holding a backup. Treat the phrase like a wedding ring.

For The Heirloom: nothing changes for your letter. The encrypted text lives on Bitcoin. The opening phrase lives with you. The recovery tool lives on GitHub. You can open the letter without us. For The Capsule and The Echo, those tiers are hosted by Amor Seal. If we shut down, undelivered letters in those tiers may be lost. This is a deliberate tradeoff for lower prices.

No. You pay once. Letters in paid tiers live forever (Heirloom on Bitcoin) or until their natural endpoint (Echo fades after reading, Capsule until opened).

No. Permanence is the point. For The Heirloom this is enforced by Bitcoin itself. For The Capsule and The Echo, the letter is sealed and cannot be unsealed by anyone, including us. Take your time before you confirm.

Yes. We do not display names of senders or recipients. We require an email only to notify you when the letter goes live; that email is not displayed and not reused. Letters are reviewed by a human before publication to keep the anthology safe and kind.

It comes down to your relationship with time. The Unsent (free) is for the past, a letter you needed to write but can't send, published anonymously in The Anthology. The Echo ($9) is for the present, shared by link now and fading after it's read, on a schedule you choose from minutes to a month. The Capsule ($19) is for the future, kept sealed until a date you pick, delivered with a countdown. The Heirloom ($89) is forever, sealed permanently onto Bitcoin so it survives even if we don't.

A private link. For The Capsule and The Heirloom we email it to your recipient right away with the designed card and a countdown to the opening day. To read the letter, they go to the link (or to amorseal.com/open) and enter the twelve words you share with them. The letter is decrypted in their browser, on their device. Nothing is ever readable on our servers.

They are the only key that opens the letter, shown once at checkout. You save them and give them to your recipient along with the link, in one message or on a card. For more privacy you can send the link and the words on separate channels. We never store them, so keep them somewhere safe.

We encrypt your letter the moment you order and seal it onto Bitcoin within one week. You'll get an email with the Bitcoin record once it's confirmed on chain. If we don't seal it within that window, you get a full refund.

Every edition is digital. You design how the card looks, the colors, the monogram, the wax seal, and it's delivered as a private digital reveal. There is no printed card or mailed package.

The Echo and The Capsule are encrypted and delivered the moment you check out, so they aren't refundable once sent. For the Heirloom, if we don't seal your letter onto Bitcoin within one week of your order, you're entitled to a full refund. If anything goes wrong, write to us first, we'd rather make it right.
