Refund policy

i. The Unsent

The Unsent is free. There is no purchase price to refund. If a letter is rejected during moderation, no charge ever applies. If you run into a technical problem submitting or reading an Unsent letter, contact us and we will help where we can.

ii. The Echo

The Echo is a paid hosted letter that you can share immediately once payment succeeds. Because the sender can share the reveal link right away, refunds are generally reviewed case by case after payment.

• If Stripe charges you twice, we will correct it.
• If a technical fault prevents the order from being created correctly, we will review for refund or repair.
• Once a valid Echo reveal link has been issued and shared, routine refunds are not promised.

If you have not yet shared the link and the order is clearly in error, contact us promptly.

iii. The Capsule

The Capsule is refundable or cancellable while it is still waiting in our hosted queue and before the recipient has opened the letter on the unlock date.

• If you contact us before the recipient has opened the letter, we can usually cancel the order and refund it.
• After the letter has been opened on its unlock date, routine refunds are not guaranteed.
• Duplicate charges and clear technical failures remain reviewable.

iv. The Heirloom Founder’s Preorder

The Heirloom is the Bitcoin permanence tier. During the Founder’s Preorder phase we seal letters onto Bitcoin in batches within 1 week of order, not instantly.

• If Bitcoin fulfillment has not started, preorder refunds can be reviewed before operator work begins.
• If Amor Seal does not seal your letter within 1 week of order, you are entitled to a full refund under The Independence Promise.
• No refund language on this page should be read as a promise of instant Bitcoin sealing.

v. How to request a refund

Use our contact page or email [email protected] with your order number. We aim to review refund requests quickly, but provider settlement times can still affect how long a refund takes to appear.
